Performs shipping, receiving, and inventory management functions as required. Opens all received packaging and performs a receipt inspection on all repairable and open purchase materials. Enter and maintain status of each repairable item into the inventory database. Distribute repairable items (with documentation) to appropriate repair shops. Return inappropriately marked material or re-warehouse wrong material, as appropriate. Maintain accountability and inventory of all equipment assets from receipt to issue. Provide material movement and handling of equipment to support warehouse operations. Perform routine safety checklist and preventative maintenance an all warehouse equipment. Continue to develop working knowledge of all operating standards, practices, and procedures, including safety procedures. Other duties as required.
Desire 1 yr experience as a warehouse worker using standard warehouse tools and equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks. 1 yr experience in computerized material records maintenance. Previous experience as a Warehouse/Supply Specialist in the military.
This position requires a Secret US DoD security clearance.
Quality Management System (QMS) experience that is compatible with ISO 9001:2008.
Crane and/or Forklift Certification desired. Active California Driver’s License desired.
Must be able lift and move 49 lbs. Must be able to work on feet for entire 8 or 9 hour shift. Must be able to work in very cold, very hot and dusty environment. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
