Must have 3+ years Digital Modular Radios (DMR) experience along with a completed apprenticeship and/or formal training in electronics general theory & practical applications; 3+ years of Radio Frequency Communication Systems experience; familiar with electronic test equipment; such as meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies and other diagnostic tools used to troubleshoot electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies; follow written instructions, procedures, schematics, technical manuals or otherwise pre-established guidelines in order to adjust, align, troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment to the subsystem or line replaceable unit level.
Prior knowledge working on two or more of the followings systems is required: Extremely High Frequency (EHF), Super High Frequency (SHF), Global Broadcast System (GBS), KA Band, Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) Processor (TIP), Commercial Broadband Satellite Program (CBSP), and Navy Multi-band Terminal (NMT); OE-82 and OE-570 antenna and be able to perform all duties unsupervised. This position will be required to have and maintain a SECRET clearance.
This position requires a Secret US DoD security clearance.
SME 3 is desired to follow written instructions, procedures, schematics, technical manuals, or otherwise pre-established guidelines in order to adjust, align, troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment to the subsystem or line replaceable unit level.
Desire Technical Training in Relevant Technical/Engineering Field specified at task order level, or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or C military school in electronics or communications
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of technical and management personnel.
