Centurum Information Technology is seeking a highly motivated Cybersecurity (CS) Systems Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA to support the Program Executive Office (PEO) for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I). Work will be performed in San Diego, CA at the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) Old Town Campus. The C4I CS Systems Engineer will directly support the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), and/or Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) for the Communications and Global Positioning System (GPS) Navigation Program Office (PMW/A 170). The following are the primary duties and responsibilities that will be performed by multiple CS Engineers: - Provide engineering services and make technical and programmatic recommendations in support of Windows based McAfee Endpoint Security Solution (ESS) infrastructure in-lab and fielding of Navy GBS ESS client, supporting virus protection, intrusion protection, and firewall configurations with familiarity in cyber security and data networking architectures. - Operate Windows 10 systems, VMware ESXi servers, McAfee Enterprise Service Orchestration (ePO) server, and support Extensible Markup Language (XML) files created by ePO server operations, in support of ESS client operational test and development. - Support the development, upgrades, and functional testing, of the lab based ePO server consistent with Navy ESS systems operated by NAVWARCOM. - Provide an installation and test plan for ePO server updates. - Provide test reports, following test plans, for ePO server updates. - Develop, update, and validate GBS policy layout guide as required by NAVWARCOM. - Develop, update, test, and provide analysis of testing of ePO generated policy, and other policy settings, for GBS WIN10 SHB RBM platform policy (superset) and integrate GBS WIN10 SHB RBM superset with DISA and NCDOC policy as consistent with NAVWARCOM ePO policy management. - Demonstrate the operation of ePO to include policy creation and policy push to the ESS enabled client and provide instructional material for maintaining policy management related to GBS WIN10 SHB RBM platform. - Support testing of ePO server and ESS client products with other Program offices to develop and test ESS client and ePO server operations. - Provide test integration of McAfee ESS virus definition signature file received by GBS WIN10 SHB RBM ESS client products to confirm RBM functionality, and provide assessment, recommendations as required. - Review the operation, upgrades, and integration of ESS client products installed in the GBS WIN10 SHB RBM platform and provide a technical report of analysis of operation. - Review the GBS RBM updates as provided by SMC/ECPM for changes to ESS client and participate in the installation of updates related to ESS and provide a technical analysis and recommendations of findings.
- Minimum of 3 years of Navy or DoD experience supporting C4ISR systems. - 3 years of CS/IA experience, which includes all aspects of CS Technical Authority requirements and the DoD 8500 Series and NIST SP 800 Series, including RMF. - Demonstrated knowledge of military C4I/IT products; with specific Navy Communications, Military and Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM), Tactical Communications (TACCOM), and GPS knowledge. - Familiarity with the NSA certification process. - Experience with communications and computing architectures and associated documentation. - Experience with leveraging Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) development practices and using CAD tools. - Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and data mining skills. - Excellent oral and written skills. - Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. - Ability to work independently and as a team member. - Ability to learn and apply technical concepts to assigned duties. - Ability to explore and examine data from multiple disparate sources with the goal of drawing conclusions to address business problems.
This position requires a Secret US DoD security clearance.
- Knowledge and experience with Navy Communications, Navigation, and C4ISR systems, especially with NAVWAR programs of record. - Expertise and capabilities performing systems engineering, management, and/or analysis for systems that were accreditable via the DoD IA Certification and Accreditation Program (DIACAP) and/or the RMF A&A process. - Experience supporting a program office ISSO, ISSM, and/or ISSE.
- IA Technical (IAT) Level II Training and Certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M, CS/IA Workforce Improvement Program is desired. - Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) Level I or II IAW NAVWAR instructions and guidance is desired. - Top Secret (TS) or TS / Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Clearance is desired.
