Uses computer-aided design or CAD systems to make drawings of mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic equipment for new manufacturing and reverse-engineering efforts, and to document as-built designs. Performs Computer Aided Design / Computer Aided Engineering / Computer Aided Manufacturing and 2D/3D Modeling work. Utilizes scanning, microscopic, aided and visual inspections, and/or other methods to reverse engineer Printed Circuits Boards and electronic components and assemblies. Use CAD tools, Original Manufacture Technical Data Packages, programs, and other similar technical data to create, modify, archive, and manage designs, drawings, and models. Build, revise, and archive Technical Data Packages using CAD programs or other software. Create, redline, and revise Functional Interface Diagrams, Drawings, Schematics, Build of Materials (BOM), Engineering Change Order (ECO), test procedure and test equipment requirements and other drawing formats. Redline and modify As-Builts, Convert 2D/3D Drawings and reverse engineer drawings to usable hardcopy/softcopy for production usage to include electronic schematics, CCAs/PCBs assembly, and dis-assembly in formats for wide distribution.
• 2 years’ current experience in calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation and de-installation of electronic systems, equipment, components, antennas, cables, cableways, while using calibration standards, logic analyzers, digital oscilloscopes and other test equipment. • 2 years’ experience using Computer Aided Design tools such as SolidWorks, Covert Plus, SCANCAD, E-studio, and/or OrCAD • Must be mechanically inclined. • Must be detail oriented. • Must possess a talent for drawing. • Must have superior computer skills. • Must have good math skills, particularly algebra and geometry. • Must be able to work with very little supervision.
This position requires a Secret US DoD security clearance.
Quality Management System (QMS) experience that is compatible with ISO 9001:2018.
HS & 2 yrs of in an industry trade school or civilian college in electronics. Completion of an appropriate military “A" school and completion of at least one appropriate military “B" or "C" school may be substituted for the two year requirement plus relevant certifications.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Skilled using Microsoft Office products. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of technical and management personnel.
