Performs maintenance and the carpentry duties necessary to maintain in good repair building woodwork and equipment such as bins, cribs, counters, benches, partitions, doors. Work involves most of the following: planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments, and making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work; and selecting materials necessary for the work. In general, the work of the maintenance carpenter requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
3 yrs recent experience in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools, and conforming to local building codes.
This position requires a Secret US DoD security clearance.
Strong working knowledge of Carpentry. Attention to detail, manual dexterity, ability to follow safety protocols, strong math and problem-solving skills.
Completion of an appropriate military “A" school and trade school certification
