The Subject Matter Expert (SME) 4 must have a minimum of 5+ years of specialized Radio Frequency Communication Systems experience and demonstrate In-Service sustainment engineering functions (e.g. design, development, evaluation, testing, and maintenance) of electronic equipment and systems; support the Life Cycle requirements; and providing technical support for systems acquisition of Radio Frequency Communication Systems; capable of developing written instructions, procedures, schematics and other technical documentation; perform all duties unsupervised; As a SME 5 provide the status of their assigned tasks via both prepared and ad hoc oral briefings to senior Navy personnel.
Prior knowledge working on the Extremely High Frequency (EHF), Super High Frequency (SHF), Global Broadcast System (GBS), KA Band, Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) Processor (TIP), and Navy Multi-band Terminal (NMT) and C/X/KU/KA Band, Commercial Wideband Satellite Program (CWSP), Commercial Broadband Satellite Program (CBSP) systems are required. This position will require to have and maintain a SECRET clearance.
This position requires a Secret US DoD security clearance.
The proposed SME 4 is desired to be capable of performing all duties unsupervised. The proposed SME 4 is desired to provide the status of their assigned tasks via both prepared and ad hoc oral briefings to senior Navy personnel. Must be able to develop written instructions, procedures, schematics and other technical documentation
Desire Technical Training in Relevant Technical/Engineering Field specified at task order level, or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or C military school in electronics or communications
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of technical and management personnel.
